Build a Book Night, November 12th

On Thursday night, November 12, thirty-one families gathered in the Graham School lunchroom to make books. This proved to be a fun-filled evening! Precious books on many different themes were written and shared. Students displayed these books in the library so the entire student body could read what Graham students wrote!!

School Holiday, November 23rd- 27th

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Students in grades 3-6 are asked to bring $1 to cover the cost of transportation to the Ritz Theatre this Friday, November 6th to view The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe beginning at 10 am. Thanks for all of the support from home.

Apple Annie Day is this Friday, November 6th.

Red & green apples are 50 cents each.

Quanitites unlimited.

Dress Up Days:
Monday- "Stay in the Game- Be Drug Free" Wear favorite team jerseys/t-shirts
Tuesday- "Follow Your Dreams- Don't Use Drugs" Wear appropriate sleep pants/shirts
Wednesday- "National Wear Red Day" "Put a Cap on Drugs" Wear red clothing; wear a hat or ball cap (any color)
Thursday- "Don't Be Tricked- Drugs Are No Treat" "Sock it to Drugs"
Wear appropriate Halloween stuff (grade/teacher allowed)
Wear crazy or mix-matched socks (especially for those not wearing costumes)

Lunch with Grandparents Week

Next week, grandparents are invited to come and have lunch with their grandchildren and visit the Scholastic Book Fair. The lunch day schedules are as follows: Monday- Kindergarten
Tuesday- 1st and 2nd grades
Wednesday- 3rd and 4th grades
Thursday- 5th and 6th grades

The Book Fair is Coming!

Graham's Book Fair begins October 1st and ends October 9th. October 6-Library Open House 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Gathering Around the Flag Pole

Students were given an opportunity to meet at the flag pole to join in a prayer for our school.

Mobile Dairy Classroom Visit September 1, 2009

Students at Graham learned about milk and why it's important to a balanced diet. They also learned about the process of getting milk from the cows to our tables.

The students at Graham want to thank Daisy, the New Jersey Cow, and her human helper for teaching us so many interesting things.

Boy Scouts of America will be at Graham to talk with boys in grades 3-6. On Tuesday, August 25, 2009, there will be a Boy Scouts Rally at R.L. Young at 6 p.m.
